Learning
The core objective of our programs is to operate educational adventures that will allow all participants to familiarize themselves with the host country in ways not possible on their own or from what can be learned from books, news or other media outlets. We operate in some of the most strategically important, economically rising and culturally interesting and diverse countries on the planet and our goal is to show you what these places are like from a local perspective. We will organize home stays (not possible in North Korea), visits to culturally and historically interesting national sights, and fantastic and unique treks and activities throughout the countries we operate in.
Our current focus is on China, North Korea and the Silk Road (Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan). For China, we can arrange any type of trip to anywhere in the country, from the Tibetan plateau at the base of the Himalaya and the deserts of Xinjiang on the silk road to the remote ethnically Korean Yanbian Prefecture on the North Korean and Russian borders. We can also arrange green adventures on the central Asian steppe on foot, by jeep or even better, on horseback! For North Korea, due to government restriction, we can only run group trips on set dates for the time being. We can accommodate school trips, university explorations, private adventurers and families!
We operate both group trips and tailor-made itineraries based on your own requirements and interest. We are Asia experts on not only travel but on the history, culture, politics, and economic conditions of the region and how these factors fit into a global picture. Our prices are extremely competitive and we offer the best deal one can find on group trips to North Korea for American citizens*
In addition to trips, expeditions and research coordination, we are also working (mainly just out of personal interest) in media arts. We aspire to create documentaries, visuals through photography, video and or prose to increase the understanding of the "strategic" countries and places in which we operate in. If you are interested in purchasing image use rights or would like to hear more about our independent media and art aspirations, please get in touch anytime!
*As an American company, we are currently only able to organize fully guided North Korea trips during the Arirang Mass Games Season - held almost yearly for approximately two months. US passport holers, in addition to all non-South Korean passport holders may apply to travel with us and we will take care of all your visa and all other necessary paperwork for your entry into North Korea in partnership with our Chinese and North Korean agencies.
US citizens (including Korean-Americans), in addition to all non-South Korean citizens, may travel with us to the DPRK this August to experience the Arirang (아리랑 阿里朗) Mass Games in P’yongyang (평양 平壤)! In addition, we will organize visits to the North Korean city of Kaesong (개성 开城) and the DMZ as viewed from the North, ride through the North Korean countryside by train on our way to the Chinese-border towns of Sinuiju (신의주 新义州) and Dandong (단동 丹东), wander the old Manchurian capital at Shenyang (십양 沈阳), and meander through the hidden gems and modern marvels of new and old Beijing (북경 北京). Please note however, the running of this trip is pending the DPRK government’s final confirmation of summer event celebrations.
