What is life like in North Korea? How does China's economic boom effect the lives and living conditions of those in Tibet? What is it like to live the life of a nomad? Have you ever pondered these questions? Have you ever wanted to find out the answers? If yes, here is your chance to do so.

Founded in 2009 by two Brown University alums, Matthew Reichel and Kevin Xu, we are a new, multi-faceted organization that specializes in providing travel and educational opportunities on the history, politics, economics, and culture of global hot spots, strategic locations and rising nations with an emphasis on East and Central Asia. Our mission is to help global citizens become aware of the real conditions of these regions and how to understand and best approach them. We will bring you to some of the most remote, most interesting and hardest to get to places throughout East and Central Asia for a rewarding, perhaps incidentally educational and life-changing experience.

What We Do

We organize and operate specialized study and adventure trips to all regions of China and permitted areas of North Korea with the goal of allowing our customers to experience and learn about the dynamics of these countries on a personal level. We can also arrange fully guided trips along the silk road to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, to the mountains of northern Pakistan and following the Mekong River down into Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia.

In addition to organizing trips in the field, we create current and dynamic media works projects exploring the areas in which we operate, from unique angles by combining art, media and academia. We have a specific emphasis on independent documentary production, photography, and web blogging. For those interested, this component can be incorporated into special trips, specifically in new media, photography and/or film. In the future, we hope to provide means for international export of locally produced art and media projects.
